Is air dry clay messy or hard to clean up?

Not at all! We have included thin silicone mats in the Clay Crate for you to use as a workspace to protect your space. Air dry clay is water based and easy to clean up when finished, just wipe down your surfaces when you're done.

How long do I need to let the air dry clay dry?

Air dry clay typically takes 24-72 hours to dry based on different factors like humidity and heat but we recommend at least 24 hours before attempting to paint or turn into a fridge magnet.

Can I really turn my creations into fridge magnets?

Yes! The included magnet tape we provide makes it easy to turn your clay designs into custom fridge magnets. Once your clay creations have properly dried, make sure the surface is clean and firmly press the magnet tape strips onto your creations. For optimal adhesion, allow 24hrs for your magnet creations to set properly.

Do we need any special tools or a kiln?

Nope! Air dry clay hardens on its own, no oven or kiln required. Make sure you leave your creations out of direct sunlight as it can lead to cracking and warping of the clay. For optimal results, place the creations in a well-ventilated area, at room temperature.
